Black Apple Dolls

I discovered Emily Martin's blog, Inside a Black Apple in April 2006. I fell in love with her paintings and fashion sense. In February of 2008 she was on Martha Stewart's show and taught Martha (and everyone watching) how to make a Black Apple doll. I love this project and I'm so glad Emily was kind enough to share the pattern with the rest of us. I've made the legs longer from the original pattern and I've added a couple things to make the dolls my own. I love how their little personalities come alive once their faces are painted on.

Molly doll (for Isabel)

Pink & Green doll (for Leezza)

Pink & Brown doll (for Jocelyn and niece?)

Blue Hair doll (for Kyla)

Orange Hair (for me)

Rainbow 6 green, blue, purple (for ?)
