Father's Day - Natalie Clayton

Father's Day 06/23/2009

On Father's Day we had a breakfast at our place in the morning w/ Justin's sister, her husband, daughter and Justin's mom. In the afternoon we cleaned out our files and got rid of tons of unnecessary paper, which wasn't fun to do but felt so great after it was done. Right before we left for Big Cottonwood Canyon, to meet up with Justin's dad and others from the Clayton clan, it hailed here in Midvale. We thought the evening was ruined for sure but went up anyway. The weather was really nice...not even cold...until it hailed just as the fire got started. The storm passed over us in about 15 minutes and the rest of the evening was wet but nice.

Tristin made great bbq pulled pork sandwiches for everyone...This is how Matt and Justin help around the camp stove.

It took a while to get that camp fire started so we were worried about it when the storm came in...but it lasted through all the hail.

We all scrambled to find cover...

I strategically found cover under the canopy where the graham crackers, marshmallows and chocolate were stowed. A little appetizer to the s'mores never hurt...right?
