Vulture? 10/08/2008
 

After our walk this morning, Justin and I spotted this big bird on our roof. I'm no bird expert but I think it was a vulture. He was a bit of a show off. I just couldn't believe how big he looked.

Oh, yes, that is a turkey vulture. They like to sun themselves in the morning to dry out their wings. I'm surprised that you didn't smell it before you saw it. They STINK!

You're awfully brave for staying out there to take pictures. I'd probably be running for my life, that thing is HUGE!
