After two years of hoping for pregnancy and going through some fertility treatments I'm so happy to share that the wait has ended. Here is a peek at our baby due to arrive around Oct 19th. This was from my 10-week appointment so the little cinnamon bear baby has grown a lot since then.

Finding out that I am pregnant was such a shock. We weren't even thinking of starting up fertility treatments again until the summer. I think I am still stunned but seeing this little shape wiggle around made it much more real. We're so happy.

Isabel asked me to read this book to her and Sylvia joined in half way through. I can't remember the name of it but it had two different version of Goldilocks and the Three Bears (Goldilocks and then the baby bear). Later that night my dad read the original narrative version by Robert Southey to us.

This past weekend Justin and I drove down to my parents' house in CA where we met with all my other siblings and their spouses. We had a dinner to celebrate my parents' 40th wedding anniversary.

The cake was a surprise which we picked up on our way down. Our life-long friend, Erin, makes cakes and we were so happy that she was willing to do this for us. We hadn't seen her or her sister or mom for years. It was fun to see them and catch up even if only briefly.

On Monday I went to Knott's Berry Farm with my sister's family. We left Hazel with my parents for the day.

We had the hardwood flooring refinished in the living room, front bedroom and hallway...and also had the guy extend the hallway flooring into the back first floor bedroom. Below are pictures of before and after the flooring was sanded and the new flooring installed. The final picture is of the flooring with the sealer still wet so I couldn't stand on it to take pictures at the same angle. Also, please note that the dark blue room will be repainted...previous owner's choice...not mine.
