Pat's BBQ 02/20/2010
We went on a triple date last night to Pat's BBQ and it was so fun. Dave, Justin, me Van, Katie, Amanda The Lab Dogs...we liked them. 2 Comments Soup and Bread 02/18/2010
This is Katie and her son plus niece and nephew. On Saturday we went to her mom's house and her sister, Pam, taught us how to make yummy crescent rolls and Katie made a delicious potato soup to go with them. Of course I ended up being too lazy and didn't take any pictures of the bread or Pam. Next time (I hope there is a next time) we'll have to get all of us in a photo. I guess it was mostly an excuse to hang out together. I loved it. Also, Katie's mom showed me several quilts she has made or is making. I was very motivated and am already making plans for my big quilting goal (to be finished by December 1). Jack sits 02/18/2010
Jack's pediatrician recommended that he sit in a Bumbo or BebePOD to prevent the back of his head from getting any flatter. He is still working on sitting upright in it. Baby Boy Blankets 02/14/2010
My brother and his wife are having a baby boy soon. I made this little alphabet blanket for them and a fishy to go with it. My cute friend Laurel is having a boy shortly too and I'm sending her this "bees" blanket made with lots of love from the Beehive state. Puj Tub 02/10/2010
I love bathing this little body. He kicks and straightens his legs like he has some serious job to do. I know he is happy but he will rarely laugh or squeal during bath time. A friend of Justin's was so thoughtful and sent this Puj Tub as a gift. It is pretty convenient...I think Jack is a little big for it now but it seems to work best in the kitchen sink for me. I love how it stores flat and I don't have to crouch over the bathtub...that tile floor can really hurt my knees. Thanks Katie! Yes, more banners...but smaller this time 02/08/2010
My cousin's wife is 5 1/2 months pregnant with her second daughter. Her first turns one year-old today. I made "sister banners" to match the green, pink and brown nursery decor. NOTE: At the birthday party tonight my aunt told me that the apostrophe on "lil" is in the wrong place...I'm sure she is right. I guess it should be "li'l." I see that there are 13 rules to the apostrophe on grammarbook.com and I think that next time I'll avoid the punctuation all together. POST NOTE: Turns out it should be li'l'...thanks dad, the grammarian... no loaf pans 02/08/2010
I shattered one of my loaf pans in our last move and most bread recipes will make two loaves. But loaf pans...who needs 'em? Jelly roll pans do the trick. Thanks for the recipe Judy. Jack sitting up (sort of) 02/06/2010
