Dana Made It 01/30/2010
I have an incredibly talented, kind, fun, and beautiful friend who keeps a crafting blog (dana-made-it.com). She recently moved from Los Angeles to Georgetown, TX and I'm so sad we missed living near each other again by less than a year. For the whole month of February she is teaming up with another crafter to provide lots of crafts and stuff for boys. Dana and Rae have promised the following for the month. Throughout the month you'll find: * TONS of Boy tutorials * Boy clothing ideas * TWELVE guest bloggers! (this part REALLY excites me) * Boy crafts * Boy bags * Baby Boy stuff * Boy giveaways * Boy design tips I love the girlie stuff but now that I have my Jack I'm SUPER excited to learn some fun boy things. Thank you Dana! 4 Comments New Homes 01/29/2010
Back in June 2008 I made these dolls and called them Rainbow 6. I didn't really want to separate them but I've decided they all need new homes. I have 6 girlfriends who are having baby girls or had a baby girl recently. Right now these little cuties are in the care of USPS on their way to their new homes. Hearts 01/23/2010
When I saw this blog post yesterday I couldn't wait another day to make one for myself. It's up a little early for Valentine's day but I can't help myself. Jack 01/23/2010

Sabrina and Isabel 01/17/2010
My sister, Sabrina, and her oldest daughter, Isabel, came to visit this weekend. They met Jack for the first time. We had SO much fun together. The first thing Isabel and I did on Friday morning was make a banner with her name on it. She designed it and did almost all of it by herself. Sabrina took care of Jack a lot while Isabel and I played. In our new "flirty aprons" we made a strawberry cake from scratch with real strawberries. Justin took us to dinner at Chili's. After dinner we came home and ate our strawberry cake. The whole house smelled so delicious. Saturday morning we went to brunch at Kay's house. Margery, Emily, Kay, Sabrina, Isabel Paige, Margery Natalie, Aunt Jean, Jack, & Larry's hands Aunt Margery, Uncle Larry & Jack Kay kept saying that Sabrina and I could be twins...what a compliment. When we got home from Kay's, Isabel and I were soon in the craft room making a bean bag for each of her siblings. She picked out fabric for each person and sewed on the machine. She was so good at it too...super careful and precise. For Luke (camo), Hazel (blue w/butterfly), Isabel (purple tulips), Sylvia (pink w/ brown paisley) I'm no professional photographer but we did a little photo shoot of Sabrina. Here are some of my favorites. She is a beautiful model. I kept thinking how pretty she is the whole weekend. This first one below is my very favorite... Isabel was a beautiful model too. Isabel was great with Jack. I have the best sister in the world. I love her so much. Red Hat 01/13/2010
birthday 01/11/2010
To celebrate the birthdays of Justin (Jan. 12) and Kenny (Jan 17), Judy (& Kelly), prepared a great fondue meal. It was delicious. Apple pie instead of cake. The birthday boys with their little ones. Notice we threw on 2 extra candles for Kenny (37). The brothers. Jack and Grandma Judy. Kyla holds Jack from Clayton on Vimeo. Love 01/04/2010
My cute friend Lizzy has a birthday this week so I made this banner for her. Turns out she liked it... Resolutions? 01/04/2010
In the past I haven't been one to make New Year's resolutions because I'm pretty sure I've broken any I've set. For a long while I thought I was smart to avoid setting myself up for failure. This year is different. It would be so easy to make a long list of all the things I SHOULD do but then I'd feel bad for not accomplishing the whole list. Here are four goals that I believe are definitely possible. 1.) Continue calorie counting to lose baby weight. I started over two weeks ago and the plan is to lose the weight before June 19th. 2.) Spend more time on craft projects I enjoy. Going along with this goal includes making a quilt. I want to make a quilt that is challenging yet still on the beginner level. 3.) Be sweet! The reason behind this goal is very unflattering to me. I can be cynical and it has been getting in the way of my happiness. So, simply put...I'd like to be sweeter. 4.) This one is a secret. When accomplished it will be revealed. There you have it. Some goals for the year. Now I've told you so I'm more committed already. Right? I made this banner to remind me of goal #3 yet in making it I am accomplishing goal # 2. Not a bad start to the year. |
